Flatfishes

These fishes belong in the Order Pleuronectiformes and Suborder Pleuronectoidei, and there are several species of interest in several families. All need a fine grain sandbed to bury themselves and an unencumbered environment to search for its foods, usually worms and crustaceans. All are difficult to maintain long term.

Please click on the species you are interested in viewing.
