Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: East Africa to Hawaiian Islands and Society Islands.

Size: 4 inches (10 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coral head areas in lagoons and on seaward reefs and usually found partially buried in the substrate at depths between 3 – 300 feet (1 – 90 m) where it feeds upon small crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
