Range: Indian Ocean, European waters, and the Mediterranean Sea.

Natural Environment: Grows in clusters in lower tidal areas, tidepools and on reef flats.

Aquarium Suitability: Rarely seen in the hobby, yet when available its delicate form makes for an attractive growth. Does well in moderately lit areas receiving a moderate current, and requires balanced calcium and alkalinity levels that equal that of natural seawater.
