Range: Pacific Ocean: Capricorn Group of the Great Barrier Reef, Lord Howe, Norfolk, Cook, and Easter Islands; also from the Pitcairn Group

Size: 5 inches - 12 cm

Natural Environment: Found in shallow coastal waters

General Husbandry: Prefer a temperature range of 72 - 83°F (22 - 28°C). Require a diet high in vegetable matter. May consume cyanobacteria/slime algae, and filamentous algae. May nip coral polyps and clam mantles. Rarely seen in the trade.

Aquarium Suitability: Can be aggressive, especially in smaller aquariums
