Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Persian Gulf, Seychelles, Maldives, and the Great Barrier Reef including Samoa.

Size: 5 inches (12 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits areas over sand and mud and takes refuge in burrows when threatened and usually found at depths between 3 – 15 feet (1 – 5 m) where it feeds on benthic crustaceans/zooplankton.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
