Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Northern Australia.

Size: 9 inches (22 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabit muddy substrates on rocky and coral reefs and usually found between depths of 65 – 150 feet (20 – 45 m) where it mainly feeds small crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade. Similar to its close relative P. leucotaeia.

FYI: Noted here only for its recognition as a new species in this family.
