Range: Northwest Pacific Ocean: Ogasawara Islands Japan.

Size: 28 inches (70 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow weedy areas and usually found at depths between 3 – 200 feet (1 – 60 m) where it feeds mainly on algae.

General Husbandry: Colors vary between sexes and its stage of growth (phase). Not collected for the trade.
