Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Line and Tuamotu Islands, north to Southern Japa, south to Shark Bay and Great Barrier Reef.

Size: 14 inches (35 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits lagoons and seaward reefs and usually found at depths between 3 – 65 feet (1 – 20 m) where it feeds mainly on algae.

General Husbandry: Colors vary between sexes and its stage of growth (phase). Not collected for the trade.
