Range: Western Central Atlantic Ocean: Bahamas, Caribbean, Virgin Islands to Venezuela (Not found in Florida and Gulf of Mexico).

Size: 5 inches (12 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow coral, rocky reefs and seagrass beds and usually found between depths of 40 – 100 feet (12 – 30 m) where it feeds upon small crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Not purposely collected for the trade.
