Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea and East Africa to Line, Marquesas, and Tuamotu Islands, north to Southern Japan, and south to Lord Howe and Rapa Islands.

Size: 6 inches (15 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits intertidal areas and usually found at depths of 3 feet (1 m) where it feeds on microalgae, various protozoan, and detritus.

General Husbandry: Not purposely collected for the trade.
