Range: Western Pacific Ocean.

Natural Environment: Inhabits reef fronts and reef backs, and presents a sponge-like appearance during daytime, and at night forms a white column with long tentacles, and can inflict a painful and very serious sting.

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the trade.
