Range: Western Central Atlantic Ocean.

Natural Environment: Inhabits intertidal areas and rockpools/tidepools and other high nutrient content rocky coastal areas.

Aquarium Suitability: An unsuitable aquarium species and should be removed when first seen, as it will quickly spread and cover wide areas of the substrate and also grow on coral tissue.

Potential Control Species: Urchin: Diadema setosum
