Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, New Guinea, and Taiwan.

Size: 12 inches (30 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits rocky and muddy bottom areas on coastal reefs and is found at depths between 3 – 100 feet (1 – 30 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Pale grey with reddish to brown spots. Not purposely collected for the trade.
