Range: Western Indian Ocean: Persian Gulf to central Oman.

Size: 4 inches (10 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow sandy areas in protected lagoons and usually found at depths between 6 - 40 feet (2 - 12 m) where it lives in burrows and feeds by sifting mouthfuls of sand to capture small invertebrates and organic matter.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.

FYI: Shown here for identification only, yet should it become available, aquarium husbandry would be similar to V. helsdingenii.
