Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea south to Mozambique and east to Fiji, north to Taiwan, and south to New Caledonia.

Size: 4 inches - 10 cm

Natural Environment: Inhabits mangrove and silty areas and usually found at depths between 3 – 15 feet (1 – 5 m) where it turns over upper sediments in search of benthic crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
