Range: Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea.

Size: 5 inches (12 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits inshore rocky reef caves and usually found at depths between 10 – 100 feet (3 – 30 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans/zooplankton during evening hours.

General Husbandry: Has elongated silvery body with a small dark spot or blotch on the caudal peduncle. As of 2016, not collected for the trade.
