Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Malaysia, Philippines and Papua New Guinea to Australia.

Size: 3 inches (7 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits inshore coral reef caves and usually found at depths between 3 – 85 feet (1 – 25 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans/zooplankton during evening hours.

General Husbandry: Has a tannish body with several silvery lengthwise lines from the snout and fading somewhat as they go rearward. As of 2016, not yet purposely collected for the trade.
