Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to Durban, South Africa and to the Line and Tuamoto Islands, north to Southern Japan and south to New South Wales, Australia.
Size: 4 inches (11 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits areas under ledges on reef flats and seaward reefs and usually found at depths between 10 – 150 feet (3 – 45 m) where it feeds during evening hours on small fishes and crustaceans/zooplankton.
General Husbandry: Has a silvery body with one narrow central black line from the snout to the rear of the body and a black spot on the caudal peduncle. As of 2016, not yet collected for the trade. However, should it become available, its aquarium husbandry would be similar to that of A. angustatus. Simply open that species to view those recommendations.
