Range: Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea to Pakistan.

Size: 15 inches (37 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow sandy bottom areas near coral heads and found at depths between 15 – 150 feet (5 – 45 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Has the front half of the body light grey with black spots, and the remaining body having vertical black and white vertical bands, with black spots on the white bands. Not collected for the trade.
