Range: Indian Ocean: Persian Gulf to southern Mozambique and eastward to Western Australia.

Size: 40 inches (100 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits inshore coral reefs and usually found at depths between 3 – 300 feet (1 – 90 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Has a dark brown body. Not collected for the trade.
