Range: Eastern Atlantic Ocean: Portugal to Angola, and Mediterranean.

Size: 60 inches (150 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy and muddy bottom areas on coastal reefs and is found at depths between 100 – 1300 feet (30 – 400 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Pale grey to dark reddish body. Not collected for the trade.
