Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to South Africa to the Philippines, north to Southern Japan, and south to Australia, New Caledonia, and also the southeastern Atlantic Ocean: south coast of South Africa.

Size: 12 inches (30 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits muddy and sandy lagoon areas and usually found at depths between 3 to 130 feet (1 - 40 m) where it feeds mainly at night on benthic invertebrate.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
