Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Southern Florida, Bahamas to Brazil.

Size: 12 inches (30 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coral reefs with rubble areas that are adjacent to seagrass beds and usually found at depths between 3 to 130 feet (1 - 40 m) where it feeds mainly at night on benthic invertebrate.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
