Range: Eastern Indian Ocean: Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

Size: 20 inches (50 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow protected coral reefs and lagoons and found at depths between 3 – 100 feet (1 – 30 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Has a black body with mottled whitish markings. Not collected for the trade.
