Range: Western Indian Ocean: Seychelles.

Size: 1 inch (3 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits bottom areas on coral reefs in lagoons and can be found singly at depths between 150 to 200 feet (45 – 60 m), where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Has a mottled reddish body with small patches of white. Not purposely collected for the trade.

FYI: A hawkfish-like species dwelling on substrates waiting for a meal to come close enough to be captured and eaten.
