Range: Central Pacific Ocean: Seychelles, Line and Marquesas Islands.
Size: 12 inches (30 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits coral and rocky reefs during daytime at depths between 40 - 50 feet (12 – 15 m), then goes to sandy areas during evening hours to feed on shrimp, crabs, worms, snails, bivalves, and small fishes.
General Husbandry: Has an elongated yellowish body with three horizontal white bands edged in black. Not purposely collected for the hobby - probably needs deworming before being placed in an aquarium, and a meaty diet with six to eight feedings per day. Will also decimate aquarium benthic invertebrate population, and eat any small fishes in a very short peroid of time.
