Shrimpfishes
These fishes belong in the "Order Gasterosteiformes" and "Suborder Syngnathoidei" as members of the "Family Centriscidae" (Shrimpfishes) consisting of 2 genera, and 4 species.
These tube-mouthed fishes are closely related to pipefishes. They are knife-like in shape and swim with their head pointed downwards. Sometimes associated with long spine urchins. They feed on planktonic animals. Require live foods, preferably live mysis shrimp.
