Common Name: Flamingo Tongue

Species Name: Cyphoma gibbosum (Linnaeus, 1758)

Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Florida, Bahamas to the West Indies

Natural Environment: Found on gorgonians in shallow reef areas

General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 to 79°F (22 - 26°C). A very pretty mollusk that reaches about 3 inches (7.5 cm), unfortunately it is fond of eating gorgonian tissue/polyps. Has a cream-colored mantle with irregular yellow and tan spots edged in black.
