Range: Indo-Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to Hawaii


Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy substrates on reef terraces


General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 73 to 83°F (23 - 28°C). Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand. A good sand mover and recommended for reef tanks. Can attain 12 inches in length (30 cm) in the wild.
