Common Name: Sea Urchin Partner Shrimp

Species Name: Stegopontonia commensallis

Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow reef areas and lives in association with urchins

General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 73 to 83°F (23 - 28°C). A small shrimp, 1.5 inch (3 cm) which lives mainly with Diadem, Echinothrix and Astropyga genera urchins. Is not collected for the aquarium trade and shown here for identification only.
