Common Name: Ghost Shrimp

Species Name: Pliopontonia furtiva Bruce, 1973


Range: Tropical Indo-Pacific from East Africa to Australia


Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow reef areas and is found living with mushroom corals


General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 73 to 83°F (23 - 28°C). A small shrimp, about .5 inch (2 cm). Not collected for the aquarium trade and shown here for identification only. Lives in association with Discosoma and Rhodactis genera.
