Common Name: Giant Orange Mantis Shrimp

Species Name: Lysiosquilloides mapia Erdmann & Boyer, 2003

Range: Tropical Central Indo-Pacific from Malaysia to Fiji

Natural Environment: Inhabits reef rubble areas

General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 to 83°F (22 - 28°C). It grows to about 12 inches (30 cm) and looks quite similar in shape as other species in this family. Not seen in the trade and shown here for information only.
