Species Name: Gonodactylus chiragra (Fabricius, 1781)

Range: Indo-Pacific Ocean: Maldives to Japan

Natural Environment: Burrows under intertidal and subtidal rocks

General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 to 83°F (22 - 28°C). This common reef mantis is about 4 inches (10 cm). It makes for a very dangerous creature to have on the loose in any aquarium and may arrive in live rock.
