Common Name: Holthuis's Reef Lobster

Species Name: Enoplometopus holthuisi Gordon, 1968


Range: Indo-Pacific Ocean


Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow reef areas and hides in caves and crevices.


General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 73 to 83°F (23 - 28°C). They get about 4 inches (10 cm). Safe with anemones and corals, but not with very small fish. As with most lobsters, they are extremely shy and once in the aquarium prefer to hide in caves during the day. After the lights go out they will search for food, including small fish.
