Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Ryukyu Islands, southern Japan, wake and Hawaiian Islands, and in the Eastern Pacific Ocean - southern California, Pitcairn and Easter Islands, Clipperton and Galapagos Islands
Size: Up to 10 in (25 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit clear outer reef drop-off areas
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 68 - 81°F (20 - 27°C) and has a natural diet that consists mainly of zooplankton. Requires a meaty diet, including fortified brine shrimp, mysis, chopped fish or shrimp flesh, and meaty type frozen carnivore foods with two or three feedings per day. Rarely seen in the trade.
