Range: Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Kosi Bay South Africa, Solomon Islands, Philippines, Palau and Marshall Islands


Size: Up to 8 in (20 cm)


Natural Environment: Inhabit sandy and silty areas along outer coral reefs


General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 83°F (22 - 28°C) and has a natural diet of zooplankton. Needs a meaty diet, e.g., fortified brine shrimp, mysis, and meaty type frozen foods and requires two or three feedings per day. Almost impossible to maintain in the aquarium and better left in nature. Fast swimmers and good jumpers! Rarely seen in the trade
