Range: Central Pacific Ocean: Society, Tuamotu, Marquesas Islands, and Pitcairn Group


Size: Up to 10 in (25 cm)


Natural Environment: Inhabit lagoon and seaward reefs


General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 83°F (22 - 28°C) and its natural diet consists mainly of filamentous algae. Requires a varied vegetable diet, including fresh macroalgae, Spirulina, dried seaweed, and enriched vegetable flakes, and requires two or three feedings per day. Rare, but worth the price when available.
