Range: Indo-Pacific Ocean: Eastern Indian Ocean to Japan, Hawaii, and the Marquesas Islands

Natural Environment: Inhabit shallow coral reefs

General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 83°F (22 - 28°C) and has a natural diet consisting mostly of filamentous and film algae. Requires a varied vegetable diet, including fresh macroalgae, Spirulina, dried seaweed, and enriched vegetable flakes with two or three feedings per day. One per tank and be quite aggressive with tankmates.
