Range: Indo Pacific Ocean: Red Sea and Natal, South Africa to Marquesan and Tuamotu Islands, southern Japan, Great Barrier Reef, New Caledonia, Marshall Islands
Size: Up to 20 in (50 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit steep slopes, often in turbid water
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 83°F (22 - 28°C) and has a natural diet of zooplankton. Requires well-oxygenated water and a large living space. Needs a varied vegetable diet, including fresh macroalgae, Spirulina, dried seaweed, and enriched vegetable flakes with two or three feedings per day. Rarely seen in the trade
