Range: Indo-Pacific Ocean: Maldives to Solomon Islands, Philippines and Palau, and south to Great Barrier Reef
Size: Up to 8 in (20 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit shallow reef faces and slopes and generally found in large schools
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 84°F (22 - 29°C) and has a natural diet of smaller fishes and various benthic invertebrate (shrimp and crabs). Basically a human food fish and not purposely collected for the aquarium trade. Shown here for identification only.
