Range: Western Central Pacific Ocean: Philippines, Malaysia
Size: Up to 7 in (17 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits tidepools, bays, and lagoons where seagrass is well established
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C) and its natural diet consists of zooplankton and small benthic crustaceans. Requires a meaty diet consisting of enriched live brine shrimp and/or enriched frozen mysis shrimp, with several feeding per day. Bleached and sold in the Oriental medicine trade.
