Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Florida to the Caribbean


Size: Up to 5 in (12 cm)


Natural Environment: Inhabit lagoon seagrass beds, amongst pier pilings, in tide pools, amongst sea fans, and over sandy patches


General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 70 - 79°F (21 - 26°C) and feeds upon benthic invertebrate. Requires an enriched meaty diet with some vegetable matter, e.g., brine shrimp, earthworms, tubifex, worms, finely chopped fish and shrimp flesh, and should also have some fresh greens to graze upon. Requires numerous daily feedings.
