Species Name: Chilomycterus antillarum Jordan & Rutter, 1897
Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: southern Florida, Bahamas to Brazil
Size: Up to 12 inches (30 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit rubble areas adjacent to seagrass beds
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 to 79°F (22 - 26°C) and feeds upon benthic invertebrate. Requires a live meaty diet such as enriched chunky fish or crustacean flesh, with numerous daily feedings and plenty of swimming space. May eat smaller tankmates. Rarely seen in the trade.
