Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Belize, Honduras, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Colombia

Size: Up to 5 inches (12 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabit shallow reef faces

General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 70 - 80°F (21 - 27°C) and natural diet consists mostly of shrimp and smaller fishes. Requires a meaty diet, i.e., enriched chopped fish and/or shrimp flesh, with at least one feeding per day. It will, however, attempt to eat small ornamental shrimp, therefore it may not be desirable in some reef aquariums. Requires numerous hiding places. Rarely seen in the trade.
