Range: Western Central Atlantic Ocean: Panama, Bahamas, Virgin Islands, Lesser Antilles, and Venezuela
Size: Up to 5 inches (12 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit coral rich areas on fringing reefs
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 70 - 80°F (21 - 27°C) and natural diet consists mostly of shrimp, and some smaller fishes. Requires a meaty diet, i.e., chopped fish and/or shrimp flesh, with at least one feeding per day. It will, however, attempt to eat small ornamental shrimp, therefore it may not be desirable in some reef aquariums. Rarely seen in the trade.
