Species Name: Mulloidichthys flavolineatus (Lacépède, 1801)
Range: Indo-Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to Hawaii, Marquesan and Pitcairn Islands, north to Ryukyu Islands, and south to Lord Howe and Rapa Islands
Size: Up to 17 inches (45 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabit lagoon patch reefs and sandy bottom areas
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C) and their natural diet consists mainly of benthic invertebrate. Requires deworming before placing in the aquarium, and a meaty diet with numerous feedings per day. Sinking shrimp pellets make a good foodstuff. Rarely seen in the trade.
