Range: All tropical seas except the Eastern Pacific Ocean


Size: Up to 8 inches (20 cm)


Natural Environment: Inhabit floating masses of Sargassum seaweed


General Husbandry: Prefers a temperature of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C). Natural diet consists of the shrimp that inhabit the floating masses Sargassum seaweed. Requires a meaty diet of live shrimp, small fishes, or an enriched diet of defrosted marine flesh. Requires only one or two feedings per week.
