Species Name: Gymnothorax eurostus (Abbott, 1861)


Range: Eastern Pacific Ocean: southeast Africa to Cocos Island, north to southern Japan and the Hawaiian Islands and south to Lord Howe and Easter Island


Size: Up to 25 inches (62 cm)


Natural Environment: Inhabit inshore reef areas and lagoons under rocks and in rubble areas


General Husbandry: Has a wide temperature range of 70 - 82°F (21 - 28°C) and will accept a wide range of meaty foods, yet prefers mostly crustaceans and small fishes. Feed once or twice a week using a feeding stick. Should have enough rocky areas/caves to hide in.
