Range: Indo-Pacific
Size: Up to 40 inches (100 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy or muddy areas near coral reefs and at night, its head protrudes from the sand, but by day, only the tip of its snout or head protrudes from the sand or mud.
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 – 28°C). Natural diet consists of crustaceans and small fishes. Not seen in the trade – shown here for identification purposes only.
