Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Florida to the West Indies
Size: Up to 10 inches (25 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits coral reefs and usually found under ledges
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 70 - 76°F (21 - 24°C) and requires mostly live foods. Feeds on benthic invertebrate. A difficult fish to get eating frozen type foods. Also quite shy and needs hiding places. Will eat smaller fishes and ornamental shrimp. Should be housed with either its own kind or very peaceful tankmates.
